This session will be an introduction to the “death positivity” movement, with a facilitated discussion on topics such as how to begin talking about death, destigmatizing difficult conversations, grief focused community care, and where to further explore death-related resources. There will be plenty of room in the discussion for attendees to bring up topics they are curious about reflecting on. All are encouraged to read this text in advance of attending, “The Death Positive Movement Encourages Us to Face Death Directly” – Tai Gooden, 2020 : https://nerdist.com/article/death-positive-movement/
This is part of Rebuilding Health Autonomy, an ongoing series of assemblies, meetings, and projects focused on the body and healthcare.
